Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in partnership with Camden County Technical Schools (CCTS) and the Camden County Educational Technology Training Center (CCETTC), who serve as the Lead Educational Agency, have received grant funding from the United States Department of Education Arts in Education Model Development and Dissemination Grant Program. The partnership will develop a comprehensive plan to increase student achievement in the national and New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards while infusing arts education into the core content areas with two local school districts, Lawnside Public School and Woodlynne Public School.
The four-year Arts in Education Model Development and Dissemination project, entitled ArtsImmersion, will improve student achievement for students in grades K-4 as it relates to the integration of arts education into the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and the National Core Curriculum Content Standards through comprehensive curriculum redesign and a professional development model for improved teaching through arts education.
