Storytelling
Summer Art Soup
Stories in Words, Pictures & Movement was initiated in response to requests for programs to encourage an interest in reading for ages 3-6. Demand for the program has exceeded capacity, and RCCA is currently seeking a partner organization to extend the reach of the program into the pre-schools year-round. RCCA teaching artists will train volunteers to conduct the sessions, include a lively storytelling session that involves discussions with the children of how words, pictures, and movements are used to express ideas, feelings, sequence, action, and so on.
