Presented by Rutgers University Fine Arts Dept. , Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts, and the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission

Symposium
In conjunction with the exhibition there will be a 2 day symposium with 4 panels of National Artists on March 27 andMarch 28 2009.
To Be or Not to Be: A Painters Question-A Symposium examining the role of painting in the new millennium, it's traditions, hybrids, and defectors. The two day symposium brings together the national American artists all of whom were trained as painters for talks on key issues in the creation of paintings, the training of painters and the viability of painting as an art form in the future. The symposium is being held in conjunction with a joint exhibition at the Stedman Art Gallery at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts and The Hopkins House Gallery of Contemporary Art. The Symposium and Exhibition is presented by the Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission and The Department of Fine Arts at Rutgers-Camden.

Schedule of events
Symposia Panels held at Rutgers-Camden Cost is $20, $15 for Camden County residents and $10 for students and faculty.
